Invisible, Gental, Effective
The Invisalign system involves using a series of clear, soft plastic, aligner trays that will gently and gradually move teeth into the desired position. 60-70% of our patients who need orthodontic care are ideal candidates for Invisalign.
Impressions and digital images are taken of the teeth by Dr. Shabo, then the Invisalign lab uses 3D imaging and computer aided design and manufacturing to custom create a graduated series of aligning trays. This computer blueprint is a virtual movie of the progressive improvements that will be effected in your smile over the course of your treatment.
Each aligner is worn for approximately two weeks and then switched to the next in the series. Progress will be checked by Dr. Shabo against the virtual model to make sure that the teeth are moving as expected, achieving the desired result.
The trays can be removed for necessary routine things like eating or brushing and flossing, but otherwise the trays are worn at all times. The gentle pressure from these custom aligners is so effective that a case can be finished in as little as nine months.
